Forbidden Places
Urban exploration is more popular than ever thanks to the Internet. Explorers from around the globe are communicating, collaborating and sharing tips and tricks as well as their exploits with a growing audience of fellow explorers, tourists, fans, and thrill seekers. Aside from the occasional exhibition of photographs, most of the incredible imagery assembled by this renegade community lives only online.
Luckily, Forbidden Places's Sylvaine Margaine and his brother David have assembled a book highlighting some of his most incredible explorations, including visits to the 1936 Berlin Olympics, Gary, Indiana, the power station from 12 Monkeys, and loads of other sites. Taken over a decade spent exploring abandoned sites scattered around the globe, Forbidden Places is not only one of the few urban exploration books out there - it's one of the best. Check out a preview here or order yourself a copy.
